Apparently, Sequim has hit the jackpot for this weather event. 14" recorded by the National Weather Service "trained spotters". Must be up the hill a little because here in town I topped out (so far) at about 10". Or as I like to say, my big 10". It hasn't stopped snowing here since 10 am and the local forecast says another 5"+ will accumulate overnight here.

Then today, hearing totals, I was like damn, rain shadow no worky-worky for the Tolkien one....

Seems like Edmonds was the only one they didn't call correctly. Snowed for about 5 hours yesterday afternoon, and maybe a little overnight, but I only see a couple inches of fresh snow out there right now (not currently falling, either). Forecast said it would snow all night here.

First one at work this morning. Of course, I'm an hr early, and would not be surprised if nobody else showed up to open the door.
God... how I love the silence that accompanies this weather.

Still snowing here...got up to let the dog out and BANG.
Yep, good sized alder uprooted and fell on the house. It is one I wanted to cut down but hadn't....don't think it did any major damage but I'll survey it in the morning.
Haven't actually been out there but our driveway looks impassable due to trees hanging down and there may be some that have fallen. That's to find out in daylight!
I'd say we have about 10" without actually measuring.

Probably only 6-7" here in Port Orchard. Wind is bowing it around so I have bare spots and drifts up to 14".
