State by state has been the tactic of the anti's for some time now and it is WORKING. The next effort, besides going after each state's pre-emption laws appears will be using the presence and/or use of alcohol in conjunction with ERPOS. https://www.gunsamerica.com/digest/ohio ... toxicated/It's a war of attrition that they are waging. Removing guns from houses in any fashion they can devise.

Wow, that's crazy. The antis keep trying to compare guns to cars, licensing, alcohol, all that. They can't see the difference between a privilege and a right.

It’s a 45 year old law, but the ramifications are very troubling. Definitely government overreach. If my guns are locked in my safe, but I’m drunk, it could be used against me because I know the combination to my safe. I wouldn’t put it past anti gun people to try and implement this everywhere.
Damn I hate the term “common sense gun laws”. I cringe every time I see or here the term. It’s a generic label used to push the anti gun agenda.

What does erpos even stand for? Extreme risk protection orders, aka red flag protection orders.

What does erpos even stand for? E.R.P.O.'s are Extreme Risk Protection Orders. They are also called "Red Flag" laws. They are a restraining order on steroids and they have broadened who can request them and the reasons for requesting an order. There are no requirements for proof of allegations and no recourse against false allegations. (in the current iterations) Adding alcohol into the list of reasons for denying one's 2A rights is monumental. and this happened thirty years ago? Why hasn't there been wider use of this against us? How many households are alcohol free. I've had two small bottles of wine in my cabinet for six or eight years (I don't drink but rarely), but does that mean I have constructive intent? Is my demonstrable aversion suitable defense? insanity.

Well, a 45 year old law that never got much attention until recently.
I just read this whole situation as reason #5,641 to not get married.
