Hey that was someone's son.

They probably were still looking for a nickname when he was killed in the prime of his life. At least that problem is solved. Flat Mike.

Police were there on tuesday. Never saw the body.

Probably just took a report from the driveway. At most, stuck their head in the door for a quick look.

I don't think th police ever showed; this article is woefully lacking, but, it meets click-bait criteria :thumbsup2:

The national story I read, was that the man had a hugely messy garage. According to local authorities, he called them Tuesday and said his garage had been broken into, because the door frame was damaged, but th garage was in such a set of mess, he wasn't sure what was missing.

He went out on Wednesday, and while attempting to clean the garage, he found a body underneath a 900 lb floor safe that had falen over.

So it doesn't appear the police were eve there.

Yeah, the potential thief is a schmutz, (okay, now he's a splat), but who the hell has a room or garage where you can't even tell a 900 lb safe has fallen over? icon_eek

Not blaming the victim at all, but it just might be time to clean...

I'm wondering, because I'm a suspicious guy, if there was any previous connection between the homeowner and the thief which led to an altercation which was then "covered up" with a 900lb safe?

Stranger things have happened.... No flies on Frank.

I get what you're saying, but I was thinking the other direction, like the guy knew about the safe...

If the homeowner had killed somebody, & put him under the safe, it seems he would have insisted the cops come out, so 'someone else' would discover the body...

Plus, unless he suffocated the guy, it seems like the Medical Examiner would find an alternate cause of death.

But, stranger things have happened...
