CBP Chooses Glock over SIG

Looks like a new model Glock for Federal LE....the 47. Appears to be a 45 frame with a 17 slide. So, I guess you could have the 19/45 slide mount on that same frame along with the 17 length assembly as well. I want one. _________________ United States Army, Retired. 2001 - 2023 |

I don’t understand what Glock is doing here. It’s like they’re out of ideas for improving their guns and just mixing and matching existing part combinations. This “new” G45 is just a G17.

American Motors (remember them?) did the same thing. Just take parts of from all the models and rearrange them. Chrysler did it for a while, too.

It's basically a carry size frame for the p320. You can take both full and compact size slides and the grip itself is full size. I do use a carry size frame on my p320.
It seems like they chose glock because they have significant legacy inventory of 19 slides. |
