The 350 diesel may have been a big flop for gm during the Malaisa era, they were not the only failure of American engineering during that time frame. Every american company was struggling to compete with the imports and keep good standing with their buyers but that is the first time I have seen anyone cite the new York times on this sight and that's a little disgusting. Easy swap to a 4bt and then you got a road worthy drivetrain with fuel milage capabilities

Hell no on the 4BT. Great motor, too heavy, loud and shaky. 350 diesel was just a converted gas motor. Not a great idea.

I happen to enjoy the loud and shaky, comes with the rat rod and motorcycle culture. 4bd1 would also work if you want more under the radar friendly. Just my opinion if your going to have a diesel Cadillac, it should be loud nasty annoying scare small children and alarm the Karen's and chads 1969 Cadillac Cummins 5 speed swap https://youtu.be/_khrTuUL1oQhttps://youtu.be/aER2cpG8NsI

The reason I love diesels is grandpa's old timberjack with a 453 Detroit, screaming through the woods hauling turn after turn making money. Riding in the old log trucks and tractors are my early memories of life and the smell of diesel is part of it, can't ever get it out of my system

Their manufacturing plant is nuts. Worked with a few Kuka's over the years.
