I'm not a fan of the plastic ammo cans either, but these fit well in the spare bedroom closet and are stack-able.

Recently, I picked up a set that has a 50 cal box with 4 inserts which each holds 100 rounds of 223 to store some loose, bulk ammo. I’m super impressed with it. MTM makes some great stuff!
