There is usually a huge difference between the buy and sell prices of 'vintage ammo'.
I bought 6,000 rounds of vintage .22 Short and LR on SGN for $200.
A collection from the 60's and 70's, some oddball stuff (rare packaging, etc), mostly non duplicates.....
Wow! Ammo collectors sell it for top dollar, one super rare box alone is listed on a collector site for $460! I'm rich!!!
Well, thats the price they SELL it for.
He'd buy it for $10, said he rarely pays more than a couple bucks a box and doesn't buy anything unless it's very rare.
Usually finds deals at garage sales and such.
Just so happens I have a 98% all original 1922 Remington Model 24C in.22 short.
Jams with modern .22 short hi velocity, standard, or CB caps.
But it just loves my vintage .22 short.
Figure I got a really good deal.
