Go big or go home!
Get a bigger one than you think you need. I ended up with a presidential model and really like it, but it is already full. ARs take a lot of space.

I love mine but the wife still says I tricked her into letting me get a top of the line safe despite sending a picture with the pricetag on it before I bought it.

Pretty sure she got some fancy jewelry or something to make up for it. Ha. She still brings it up from time to time. I just remind her that some of her fancy jewelry is in there, safe and sound!

My SIL bought one of these four years ago on sale during Black Friday, he liked it for the first two years (filled it up) but since I bought my Colonial 50 he wishes he would’ve waited and got a bigger safe like mine. Just sayin that kgbsucka is right!!!

Id like to go bigger, but it wouldnt make it through the door of the room its going in. Plus I already am thinking I have to reinforce my floors, sounds like more work.

Colonial 50 extreme blackout for me. Just need to bite the bullet and call them someday. The 12mo same as cash is a big plus.

For the price, NW Safe has better options in their store. For example, check out their house brand safes.

When you go look at them, I bet you wont buy a fatboy. I went in there expecting to buy a $2500 safe and ended up buying a $4000 safe..........twice.

This aint it chief. Fat boy jrs regularly go on sale for $1500. I was quoted 280 to deliver AND install.

Also.... i wont bullshit anyone, I got a RSC, thats gonna deter smash and grabs but not anyone who knows wtf they are doing.

Go to the old threads of safes and look at LCs rants about thickness gauge.

Btw... this light kit is legit and one of the easiest installs. One 6pc can be enough but I wanted more. Buy 2 sets 1 with the motion sensor and 1 with rocker switch and use the remainder of the 2nd kit on something else. It might even be the same shit liberty sells for $$$.

https://www.libertysafe.com/accessory-c ... pg-63.html

https://www.libertysafe.com/accessory-d ... g-185.html (better of the offerings from liberty but the 12” goldenrod is NOT enough).

I regret not having nw put in the outlet for 3 plugs and ethernet, usb vs buying after and doing myself. Get them to deal with the drilling and vacuuming.

Another note - the stock electronic keypad lock feels cheap af.

Have you ever gone in Fry's to look around. It's the only store left (that I can think of) that carries a lot of stuff Radio Shack used to.

Used to go to Radar Electric, Active Electronics, and Vetco in the 90's.
Radio Shack was handy. Used to buy the long wooden que tips for cleaning printer rollers.
Went into Frys once while waiting for our dinner train, don't usually go down that way.

Still go to Vetco, but it's in Bellevue. Only if I can't wait for shipping.

By son went there for some components, was looking at their vacuum tubes.
They used to get $5-20 a tube back in the day.

He asked the guy at the counter about them.
Ended up buying ALL of them for $90!
About 1,200 tubes! 6 boxes full of them!
Some are from the 50's, some are worth more than $50 each to the right buyer.
I think he is the largest supplier of vacuum tubes in the entire state!
Need one, let me know. He probably has it.
He started up a side business designing and building vacuum tube audio amps.
3D prints the tube sockets and enclosures.
