Well, all my local shops are out. GB prices are stupid. Thought I'd share a tip

general gist is, some time between 10pm-10:30pm, cabelas and basspro website comes in stock (every night, or at least every weeknight), hit refresh a few times, choose pick up in store, have CC saved, and you can get primers easy. May take 2 tries to get em, but I've had good luck with pistol and small rifle's. I *think* basspro might have more available, but as they're like same parent company, might just be same stock.

They usually sell out in ~5 minutes. Don't be greedy. If you try to grab more than they have, it just wont let you check out, and correcting it is annoying, it's easy to run out of time trying to fix your cart and you end up with nothing.. Also just on principle. :D

They did just raise prices on CCI's in last few days from 34->39, but given current situation, not terrible, and no hasmat fee for shipToStore.

There's a discord with notifications when stuff comes in stock, but as I'm new, and not sure rules, won't advertise it, no affiliation, but you don't need to be on it, just makes it easier. pointed me to midway's short-lived in stock today, and the nightly basspro stock.

+1 to joining the reloading Discord. Following their in stock notifications helped me find primers on several occasions.

For those of you who haven’t used or heard of Discord, it’s a chat app that was originally intended for gaming. But now people have created servers for all kinds of stuff. The amount of content on the reloading server can be overwhelming but it’s a good place to ask questions and learn.

worked like a charm...yes only order a few...10:15 Sat night got 5x100 large pistol Winchester. thanks for tip. I noticed it with ammo a few nights ago but never thought of primers.

I also later ordered a bunch of pistol bullets around 11pm....so this seems like a fairly broad Cabelas thing

Thanks for the tip, wasn't able to get any primers, I think they went in a matter of seconds....by the time I entered everything in Checkout and hit Submit Payment, message came back out of inventory dumping everything I had in the cart. Tried smaller amounts and by the time I re-entered payment info in checkout and hit Submit it was all out of stock.

Guess I'll try again since the alternative on Gunbroker is wayyyyyy too much to spend for primers.

Ya, I've just been picking up small amounts of single items (e.g. 1k primers, or a 500 round box of .22LR) erry night, figure i'll make my way to tacoma once it all arrives.. i'm at like 3/5 successes for random primers and small ammo

Kinda annoying and certainly not perfect, but beats the alternatives.

I had pretty good luck with primers at the start of this massive decline, but it has gotten very, very sparse since then.
