And yup . . . at the end of the WaGuns shoot today, I went to start my CR-V and . . . nothing. Well, damned near nothing. It wouldn't even turn over.
I was all set to unpack all 900 pounds of shit from the back so I could get to the jumper cables when Toys in the Toybox (Kurt) came strolling up with this little tiny pack of goodness. He clipped it to my battery and said, "Start it up."
I believe they should hold their charge maybe up to a year or more??? I thought that's what it said in some literature I got or saw, although they may have recommended a charge every couple months ??
Mine had been in the truck for several months and is still full even after todays jump

I'm wondering if they lose battery life in lower temps, probably just something in my head. Just something to think about. These little guys are badass. I'll have to pick one up when I get my sub and amps.

I'm going to type out 3 paragraphs and wax eloquently about a similar story in my life. Pm me if you figured it out.

There are lots of options out there for this new type of jump starter. I got two last month for $36 on sale. I don't think I'd pay more than about $60-$80 for one.
The battery pack itself for the xp-10 might be a pound. There are several other brands on the market. Some are good, some are cheap shit. So do your research, like most things you will get what you pay for
There are also several companies that get their stuff from Anti Gravity and wrap a different label on it. These will have the same features and be physically identical if having a different label on it. Usually not much cheaper but they are out there, Cobra is one example I know of.
After research and talking to those in the industries that use these on a regular basis I chose the Anti Gravity brand based on quality. There will be some variations in features from model to model and brand to brand so be sure to compare apples to apples and ALWAYS get bigger and badder than you think you need. Even the smallest versions can be life savers but we all know bigger is better right??
