Anyone know how to break into a safe?

Mon Oct 16, 2017 5:31 pm

$300, no combo or key. I don't know anything else about it. Just saw it on Offer Up.

I figure someone out there can open it without damaging it.

cut the back out of it with a steel cutting blade on a die grinder or skill saw

Then buy some real steel and weld it back up, black spray paint, put against the wall

Why break in when you can get the code/key?

Those keyed daytime locks are ridiculously easy to pick. But if someone has spun the dial, then set it to zero and locked it, you're fracked.

I picked up a safe of here a few years back that had the top cut out. I cleaned up the cut with a jigsaw and welded a new high carbon steel plate on the top. Good as new. Most Safes are easy to get into.

Same safe maker as Winchester...I mean residential security container.
Pretty much any locksmith worth his Salt could crack it..

These are the folks that did my safe installation in Lacey:

Give them a ring. I bet they can recommend someone specializing in opening/replacing locks in Residential Security Containers (RSC).
BTW, almost all 'gun safes' are only marketed as safes and don't meet the Underwriters Laboratories (UL) criteria for real safes.

It's totally not worth it .For just a marginal amount more you can get a brand new safe in brand new condition with a brand new electronic lock. Furthermore those lock safe never have anything in them. I've never seen a safe that was locked at somebody bought that ever had anything in it. I could be wrong but I sure as hell am not going to drive all the way to Mon road by a safe for $300 breaking to it and there's nothing in it.
