Check the flyers a couple of days before the 8th. Big sale, 2nd month, 2nd week......you get the idea. For those of you who complain about the crowds.......... Just go online, and order what you want, and come in when the madness is over.

For those that whine about how long it takes at Cabelas I would like for you to come spend some time with me to really see the process. If the customer doesn't screw up the 4473 (which they do even more since they changed the last question), and every thing goes smoothly it takes 20 mins per customer. Multiply that by 30 customers at once it gets crazy. Oh let's not forget the Pistol Transfer Application that needs to get typed up for wonderful WA state. Did you know that if you have a CPL you don't have to do the NICS check? (According to ATF) Just say thank you WA.

Bought a pistol at Tulalip Cabella's a year or so ago online. Notified that it arrived. It only took an hour for the idiot to figure out it was a delay and what to do. Called them up a couple weeks later, said to come and pick it up. All of the paperwork was done, only took 70 minutes for them to figure out how to have me pickup a gun I already paid for. Must have been 4-5 people involved in the whole process. No crowds. Just inept employees.

Well, I too, have some issues with Cabela's but I have to give Chuck props.
He's one of the few people on here who says who he is, where he works, and takes the lumps when people come here and gripe.
And, in spite of it, instead of saying 'screw-it', still tries to offer-up deals for people, how-to's & work-arounds for lines, and other incentives.
I admire that.
He doesn't own the place....so, not much he can do about the problems.
Plus, I'm sure things are worse for him since the buy-out.
Thanks for the head's-up Chuck....(okay, that didn't sound right....)

Thanks for the head's-up Chuck....(okay, that didn't sound right....) Agreed on all of the above. Chuck, I understand the paperwork involved, because I see it every time I buy a gun. Those of us who have bought at Cabelas as well as another store bitch because although the required paperwork is the same, it takes a hell of a lot longer at Cabelas. When I buy at another store, they work MY stuff until it’s done, and it takes 10 minutes or so. When I buy at Cabelas (and I’ll admit, it’s been a while...), my stuff disappears into the queue somewhere and I just sit and wait. Yes, I know there are a lot of other customers buying at the same time, but it just feels like Cabelas doesn’t have enough people working to handle the rush.

And if you don't like it fine, I don't get commission (wish like hell I did). After all the other gun stores in WA have a much bigger selection anyway.

The website says your OOS on Ruger 22/45s (except for the blued model). Do you know if you'll get more in by next week?
I'd like to get the diamond grey (43918) but will settle for the red anodized if that's all they have.

If it's on our web site, and you know you want it just order it online. When you come in, and you decide you really don't want it you can cancel it and get a full refund. Also if you don't have access to the internet, you can come in and order with customer service.

I seen Chuck in there busting his ass, I will give him props and he lets us know about sales and employee discounts. I was in there yesterday and picked up some items I bought online and had it delivered to the store. Nice lady at customer service. My bottom line, I will continue to buy from Cabelas and if I see a nice firearm, at a good price, I will get it. Despite the wait times.
