Fear not! If you can't get ahold of a Space Force lower.....there's a possibility of getting the Mad Dog Mattis lower.

We've got some of those on their way as well. :wagwoot:

I wonder if a gun would fire out in space or not? Since space is a vacuum, once the primer is struck and the powder burned the oxygen in the casing, would it have enough force to propel the bullet enough to do any damage?

I suppose the correct answer is laser beams and rail guns.

Since I've only ever purchased a gun in person, how does one buy a lower/gun online? Do you purchase it and have it mailed to the FFL? In which case do you have to let them know it is coming their way? Or do you have it shipped to your home and go to the FFL? Again, I've only ever purchased guns in person.

It gets sent to the FFL...the information needed in order to do so is often on their website (FFL #, etc., ...) If it's not, they either frown on it, or prefer you talk to them first.

In either case, it's polite to let them know it's coming ahead of time.

It's also sometimes financially beneficial, as some charge a higher fee if they don't know it's coming.

They fire underwater, so I'm guessing they would. Probably a good propulsion method in a pinch, too.

I’d be interested in getting one of the space force or Mattis lowers if you got any in still.

The gun would fire and it would be like a rocket and push you backwards. There's no oxygen required in the casing for combustion. The powder ignition is a chemical reaction like a solid fuel rocket.

The problem would be a followup shot since you might be spinning out of control. Also since it is a vacuum, there would be no air resistance imparted on the bullet. Newtons 3rd law applies, for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
