No idea about the brand or quality. But if you are on a tight budget and want to panic buy an AR before 1639 takes effect, this might be a good way to go. It’s in .223 wylde to boot!
Nothing wrong with these rifles at all. Just because the price on AR Rifles comes down, does not mean that they are not worth it. Does anyone ever complain that their favorite Gasoline's price comes down, their favorite beer or liquor is on sale, NO.

I picked one up for $299 on veterans day. Just arrived at my gun shop. Hopefully I'll pick it up next week. I had ordered two anderson lowers to stick in the safe for future builds, but then I saw these and couldn't pass it up. I doubt you could build one for less. Since I had planned on a M4gery and building up a 20" A2 clone, this took care of half my projects for me. Hopefully it was worth it. The A2 kit (true fixed carry handle A2) will run me about $500, so its a distant future build. (Although Bear Creek has a flat top 20" rifle for about 350, so Id just need to swap the upper reciever base....)

How is BCA's barrel quality these days? I know early on there were a lot of people saying it was rough around the edges, but I don't know if it has improved or not.

For $280 you could just get a palmetto kit and probably find a anderson lower locally with the other $70 and still have money left over. That way you dont have to deal with paying for a transfer, and have a known commodity. I think their pistol kits get as low as $259. Also that doesnt tie the receiver up as a rifle-only receiver.

I've also heard PSA has a less than great shipping/order fufillment reputation. So, I guess it may or may not be the best deal. Depends on how quick you want it all.
