Anyone considering this may want to take a look at this thread first.

Because they haven't sold a single rifle and they work out of their mom's basement?

Please to forgive the AR Know Nothing... ARs are made up of almost all interchangeable parts and pieces. What's to discourage a goombah like me from buying a cheap ATI complete AR, finishing an 80% lower and then selling/tossing/PIFing the lower? Are the rest of the pieces that make up the ATI AR all cheapo also? This is coming from the fellow who recently had an epiphany regarding the quality and value of a particular AR charging handle... (BattleArms RACK Ambi CH viewtopic.php?f=60&t=97557&start=225#p974320 ) So thanks in advance for more education.

Id rather spend the extra $50-100 and get an AR without a polymer lower.

I am leaning towards picking up one of the complete-minus-lower kits and finishing an 80%. Seems to be about the same price.
So are the rest of ATI AR parts all carved out of balsa wood with a dull Pakistani folding knife from the 80s?

I have several with high round counts and zero problems ever. If you ever have a problem they will send you a new lower, for life. How many aluminum lower manufacturers have a life time warranty?

The picture says metal reinforced polymer UPPER AND LOWER. Am I mistaken or is the upper not also a polymer shell?

This and a locally sourced lower would probably be about the same price: https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-16- ... 76173.html

Something the ATI has going for it that this PSA kit doesn't is a (sort of) low-profile gas block. That is, unless the A2 FSP is your thing.

Just because they have a lifetime warranty, doesn't always mean that's the only reason why you should buy it. If that was the case, Hi Point would be the most popular selling pistol on the market.

Kind of looks like one of those cheep aluminum blocks. I would rather cut an A2 than use an aluminum block. Or you can sell A2's for about $25 and use that to buy a steel block.
