$1 Dollar Store Spyderco Type Knife

Bought this knife at the dollar store this weekend
$1 (well, $1.10) ~ ✓
Great Lockup ~ ✓
Belt Clip ~ ✓
Can Cut...at all ~ X
So I go to cut the TAPE off my cat's new goodie box from chewy. Stretches the tape without cutting.
I literally ran the blade against my finger with pressure and it won't cut. I have a cone type serrated knife sharpener so will try later that, maybe sometime this year. May just use it for throwing as the tip is nice.
$1 knife worth about $0.10

My pappy always used to tell me, “son you get what you pay for.” 
Guaranteed it is a crappy steel and if you did get it sharpened it will not hold an edge long, then you will have to re-sharpen, rinse and repeat.
