This bull is the best grill I have ever owned and the customer service is out of this world! First let me say I got the 590 that has wifi and an app that controls the grill. The only issue is the temp alarm never really goes off correctly. When I first got the grill I had some bad screws and a bent handle. Not only did they ship me new ones that very day, they sent me a $89 flavor pack of seasonings and sauces which are incredible by the way for free as an apology! They have tons of video on youtube with recipes. It was easy to put together and can cook meat like no tomorrow, a monkey like me can do it. Just about everything I have made has come out incredible. And I have never made brisket in my life and I have made two that have come out like an award winning Texas BBQ joint. I'm flat out amazed I made them. Now lets talk customer service. I have never, in my 47 years of life seen anything quite like this. Maybe there are better grills, fancier, etc, but nothing like the rec tec CS guys and gals. I made a post on a Facebook group, not even their own group and the next day someone called me! I didn't even ask for them to call me, they found me online, looked me up in their records and called to help! WHO DOES THAT? That is flat out amazing. They even have after hours call backs if you have some sort of emergency. It is quite amazing. Everyone that works there cooks with the grills, they are making food everyday from what I hear at the one brick and mortar store in NC. I have even spoke to Ray Carnes, the owner. Yes they are spendy, yes they are made in China, but the build quality is amazing and they have raves of fans and positive reviews. I have never seen anyone bad mouth them in any of the forums. And I'm sure if they did, they would make it right. I made these tonight, and they are frikken delicious!! Mediterranean Turkey Meatballs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JI3wsMOyY3oA few photos of my setup and culinary masterpieces I have made. If you are in the market, buy one, you wont be disappointed.

Yup. I have the original RT-300 (mini) and love it. Use it at least a couple times a month.
Rec-Tec makes some impressive units and their customer service is amazing.

I had a hard time choosing between the Rec Tec and the Camp Chef when i was shopping for a Pellet grill. While i have not had any reason to deal with Customer service with Camp Chef, i am impressed at how Rec Tec reached out to you after a FB post. Good on them, that is some excellent Customer service. Everyone i know who has bought one has been very happy, and that is some good Looking BBQ you whipped up on that Bad boy!

MUAHAHAHAHAAAAA Another minion to the fold!!! Welcome to the club Gasitman. RT680 and bullseye owner here. As you can already tell, you made the right choice. I have told many people this. RecTec CS is hands down the best I have ever seen of any company in any industry. And that starts right at the top with Ray Carnes. Some people in BBQ circles do not like him, he can be bombastic, passionate, and make grandios claims. But he truly is customer 1st oriented and honestly their units just work. I tried another brand for 2yrs, went RT and never looked back. Yes Ray makes it right. I have heard 1st person accounts of unhappy customers that he has "bought out" when there was nothing he could to to make them happy with the grill. Full refund and paid to ship grill back to GA. I mean who does that? Looks like you are picking it up. There can be a bit of a learning curve with a pellet grill. Takes a few cooks to get a feel for how they run. Make sure to try reverse searing some steaks and porkchops. Make sure to get good 3/4-1" cuts for both though. Thinner and they do not slow smoke long enough, thicker (at least for chops) and I found they are tough. Your food looks great so far!

The Sear is what sold me on the the Camp Chef. The side sear box gets to 900 degree's. You just can't sear like that on Any Pellet smoker. Skip to 3:50 to see the Cowboy Ribeye's smoking and then hitting the Sear box. Heat and Fire, that's what it takes for a proper Sear. If it wasn't for the Sear box, i would have bought the RecTec. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jeFQGAV-mPII even saw a Video where someone attached a Camp Chef Sear box to a RecTec.

Gas,
Make sure you get your pellets from Pellet Pedler. Local guy (tacoma). He stocks lumberjack pellets which are the best, hands down.
Ask him about a WaGuns discount. He may bitch and moan. But tell him Dan sent ya.
