well now it blows for sure... jfc...
just got an email from "the headquarters" stating that drivers and riders are now "required" to wear a face mask they also say that both riders and drivers will have to provide a photo of themselves, wearing said mask... wtf, how will you know if it's the "legit" rider or driver or not? and, both riders and drivers will be able to give ratings based on PPE now... and, both can cancel the ride based on lack of PPE as well... the world is going mad...  You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post. |

I'm going to try and go driving without one and see what the app says, maybe call the driver support line and see what they say about the "medical condition" exemption...

When we're in SE Asia we used to always get cabs, but now it's Grab (Uber/Lyft clone after a buy out, now all Uber / Lyft drivers are Grab drivers), and it couldn't be more convenient and cheap. We just installed Grab on our phones and went wherever we wanted without having to get a ride from relatives or cabs. I don't know if it's still the case, but you could continue to use the Uber or Lyft apps, and a Grab driver would show up.
It's been several years since we've been, and will probably be a couple more before we go depending on the pandemic. |

I have been considering doing UBER locally. With the Tesla, it's cheap "gas" and there are much lower maintenance costs.
