Was able to get to the range earlier this month to sight in a new Tikka Tac A1 and find oit how American Precision Arm's "Little Bastard" self timing brake performed.

The brake installs with a crescent wrench. Easy as that.

To say the brake reduces the recoil impulse with great efficiency is an understatement. It's pretty amazing. APA made some videos where they set a rifle on a bench - unrestrained - on a bench and use a pencil to pull the trigger. The rifle does NOT go flying.

Five stars. Would recommend.

How does the brake feel to the people / shooters standing next to the gun?

Well let's see if Sinus and his buddy even noticed. It didn't seem like it caused a stir.

Mike?

The brake on my safety harbor is pretty effective as it is. I’ll check out the fat bastard but unless it’s a massive chevron brake like the early Barretts I can’t imagine it would be a huge improvement.
