So recently purchased some new flashlights for the upcoming Test Your Flashlight event this Saturday, Sept 24th at 6pm. viewtopic.php?f=60&t=2130I purchase two lights for different uses and I have to say they are very impressive. EagleTac from PTS - Pacific Tactical Solutions http://www.pts-flashlights.com/category.aspx?uid=152The first is a very small utility flashlight EagleTac D25C2 Mini. http://www.pts-flashlights.com/products ... 2-220-7007. Now this is 493 lumens! Literally in the palm of your hand. For $50 It has many features that you can read but the simple twist action is great for pocket carry and operation. Second is the EagleTac P20C2 Mark II. XM-L http://www.pts-flashlights.com/products ... 2-220-7007I plan on replacing my self defense carry from my Surefire 6PX Tactical 200 lumen to this one. A whopping 720 lumens! For something a bit smaller!? Than the Surefire... All for about $75 Did I mention the company is local out of Blaine, WA? Both of these lights are multi mode lights. I usually will recommend a simple one action for self defense lights but even the P20C2 has a simple on/off clicky tail button but it also has multiple functions by rotating the head by twisting it. Will demo more at the Test Your Flashlight event... Did I mention you can try them out and purchase them there? The rep from PTS will be on hand at the event.

Yeah, technology can be awkward sometimes.

A few months ago I went to the gun show with oldkim and he forced me to buy a Plum Crazy AR-15 pistol lower. Last weekend I went to the gun show with him and he forced me to buy a D25C2 flashlight. When am I gonna learn.... But anyhow, back to the flashlight. I have a Surefire G2X Tactical that is great, but it's just too fat for me to comfortably carry . . . so I don't. The D25C2 is nice and thin, and rides comfortably in my left front jeans pocket next to my knife. I've found legitimate uses for it several times just in the four days that I've been carrying it, so it has been nice to have. As oldkim said, this is definitely a "utility" flashlight because of the twist action (no bush-button) and because its default setting is "low." That means that to get to the brightest setting, you twist it on to Low, twist off, twist on to Medium, twist off, twist on to High, twist off, twist on to Turbo. That's a lot of twisting when the bad guy is coming at you . . . so it's not something you want to rely on for self-defense. But for an easy-to-carry, bright flashlight I've been happy with it so far.

So I have to say I never thought I would want to carry 2 lights...
I guess several years ago the same could of been said about carrying 2 guns.
I do plan on carrying if not one but 2...
You decide what I mean by that...

I'm down here in New Orleans and they have no open container laws? Okay so I was a bit tipsy... What I meant by my other post is that I will always have at least two (1 gun and 1 light) now I may have 1 gun and 2 lights or 2 guns and 1 light or 2 lights...

On any given day the mugger may end up with 3-5 rounds...
