Wow Jason, good counter review.

Mine so far (wearing it 4x a week at least), has shown none of that type of wear yet. I'll try and snap some pics later this AM.

Ok, here are my photos. This has been worn with me weighing between 245 and 280, 99% of the time with an IWB Crossbreed.

Photo of buckle and clamp. Very little pulling.

Photo of clamp, still nice and tight.

Photo of ratchet area, the worn areas are inside only.
Image

Close up of worn area, just so you can see it's mainly just extra material around the stitching.
Image

Photo of other side, where the wear area is, no visible wear.

All right, Dan . . . I hope you weren't bullshitting, because I just ordered one.

My usual dress belt is starting to come apart, so I figured that now was the time!

If a person needs a ratchet on their belt, that person needs to go on a diet.

The Mission Belt has treated me well, with daily use both with and without a gun, but recently it developed a tear:

Image

I thought this was odd, and I have no idea why it would tear like that. However, no big deal, since the belt is actually a little longer than I want it to be, so I just cut an inch off the end, and presto the tear is now gone.

However, I took this as a sign that it was time to get another belt, so I took zombie66's advice and bought the Blade-Tech Ultimate Carry Belt, in leather. I received it a couple of days ago, and I finally got around to fitting it and trying it out.

One nice thing is that the UCB come in just one size: very large. This means you don't need to figure out what size you need, just buy it and cut it to fit. I used a pair of kitchen shears for both the UCB and the Mission Belt, and they worked very well for the task.

The UCB is pretty beefy compared to the Mission Belt. Here's a pic of the two buckles next to each other:

Image

Note that the UCB is wider, and the belt is thicker. The buckle is larger overall, and to retain the cut end of the belt in the buckle it uses similar "pincher teeth" to the Mission Belt, but there are also two set screws with blue thread locker on them.

So far so good. It definitely feels stronger, and my pistol (XDs 9mm) is sitting flatter against my body.

I think I'll keep using the UCB for at-home use, and keep the Mission Belt for daily work duty, where I don't carry.

My mission is still in decent shape, but I’ve been wearing my LE Basketweve style for a while now.

I’ll have to check out the UCB!
