So last year I had a buddy of mine Tom Ryder over at SPR Industries in Seattle build me a .260 Remington. I told him I wanted a heavy MTU contour with a barrel 26 inches or longer and set up to be run with a SureFire can. What I got was a very well built Remington bolt gun that the fit and finish was amazing and can shoot also. The weather outside for the two different days I shot this gun was in the mid 70’s to low 80’s with a lot of mirage. For how much mirage I was getting I was amazed at the groups I was shooting. My best group was .587 and there were at least 4 more groups under ¾ MOA. I fired a 10 shot group with 5 rounds suppressed took off the can put it back on and shot 5 more rounds through it that measured just 1.071. I know this gun will shoot a lot better because I was shooting a lot of small ¼ MOA groups and then with the mirage I would throw a shot or two. I am hoping to get back out in the next couple of weeks and shoot in the morning so the mirage isn’t an issue and see if I can’t make those groups shrink by a lot more. Below are some of my groups that I shot with this gun and the specs. Remington 700 trued and blueprinted Krieger MTU contour 1 in 8.5 twist finished at 27inches with a SureFire MB68K muzzle brake. Factory trigger set at 2.5lbs Larue 20MOA base and SPR mount with a Nightforce NXS 5-22 with zero stop. SPR Industries, LLC Email: info@sprindustriesllc.com Phone: 360-461-6875

Yes, Big Baby Elvis does some amazing work. I have one of his barreled actions here right now that I DuraCoated for him. If I was into bolt guns I would most certainly have Tom do the work. Great looking rifle!

Mirage . . . too much mirage . . . you mean the mirage you get from too much heat and sunshine?? You're not making any friends here, pal. Remember where this forum is based! Just kidding. Beautiful rifle!

If TA had a precision bolt gun, he would no longer be able to blame the rifle.

I don't blame anything. Nothing to blame when you are a great shot. Steve's trying to take one from his own playbook.
Tom, if I had the money to have you build me a nice bolt gun than maybe I would change my mind. Until then...eh.

TA, if cash is what's holding you back we need to talk. I build custom gun's and I can formulate a custom payment plan just for you! My original business name was going to be "Honest Tom's Gun-O-Rama", but it was taken already!
