When shooting before, the 115gr fmj's tended to print significantly low and left on the target and the 147gr's were more center and better grouped. Now that I've had a chance to put some rounds though the gun, both are printing in almost the exact same area. The only difference is the amount of recoil, which is VERY noticeable when shooting the 147gr bullets. Check it out:

After 10's of thousands of 9mm bullets, I've found the 124gr JHP to be the best all around for my "9's". Heavy enough to get the job done, fast enough to expand, and still light enough to not try and kill the shooter (me)

For practice it's cases of Montana Gold 124 gr JHP's and for carry ammo it's the 124 gr Gold Dot Hollow Point. Tried the 147's for a while and found them to actually cause long term accuracy issues. The recoil is such that after a while one can develop a real bad habit of flinching, especially with a lighter firearm.

Just one mans opinionImage
