Good write ups guys. Glad to see someone else getting on the Turkish clone train. I bought my SAR K2-45 many years ago and it is definitely one of my favorite guns. Hard not to like a steel frames 45ACP holding 14+1 rnds of 230grn. Many thousands of rounds I have only ever had problems after extended length of time between cleaning/lubing. Shooting AA2 powder is a bit dirty and the residue cakes up the slide, so I find it likes to be cleaned every few range visits.

How was the trigger on the canoe paddle, I mean Maxim?

Not as bad as some I've tried.

It's still a fairly long and hard trigger pull, not gonna win any prizes. Hopefully it'll work itself out a bit, but I can live with it as-is.

Brian at Rehv Arms cleaned up the trigger on mine. It's much better now. Don't bother with the aftermarket trigger parts kit,
It just made things worse.

And my front sight has stayed on nicely, but I don't notice with the mini red-dot.

I had the SAR 9 out to the range today, and put maybe 100 rounds of 147-grain reloads through it.

No issues. thumbsup

I've emailed Silencerco and asked them to send me a new sight and screw.

Update . . . within a couple of days, Silencerco had a new sight and screw in the mail to me. Great service. :thumbsup2:

Now, since the Maxim is still being held hostage at Kelly's for an unknown period, I have a problem: Do I put the sight and screw in my "pistol parts" box? Or my "suppressor stuff" box?

First world problems! :doh1:

Suppressor.
Typically folks would have less in that “box” But since I know you... you have lots in both. But it’s meant and designed for suppressor use so suppressor area.

Another update, I took both of my SAR 9s out again, put 100 rounds through each, zero issues this time. Prior to this second range trip I dry fired the second pistol, which failed to reset a few times in the first range trip, and it now has a much smoother trigger and no reset issues. I like these guns :-)
