Getting my fox shocks exchanged on a rebuild. Looking for someone that can swap them with a few days notice. If you can do an alignment that would be a huge positive.

Also need someone to replace my window regulator

I don't have the time to do this. Looking for someone experienced in these things, not someone that wants to watch a few YouTube videos like my buddy does. icon_eek

That ABSOLUTLY will not happen. That dude wants 6 hours at $900 to do 4 shocks. I about shit myself when he said that. Even BillyBobs with an alignment is only $525. :bonghit: :bonghit:

What you need done should take less then two flat rate hours including the alignment which I am guess probably will be fine.

The Raptor Forum is pretty active, and a helpful group. You might post your request there.

Don't do that. When setting nitrogen pressure they need to be unloaded....full extension without any weight on them. Funny how many self qualified "shock guys" do this. Most of them don't even have the proper shrader adapter anyways.

And question for the OP. To clarify your doing an exchange? Swap in a different set? Or are you looking for removal then service, and re-install?

How did four shocks go bad? Shocks go bad over time. These should be rebuilt at 50k. So I’m guess they never have been.

Yes I got a set from Texas shock works on the way and then I have to send my take offs to them as the exchange.

I’m on the raptor forum and posted a question over a week ago with no reply’s.

+ One more referral for John Mathews.

He has tons of experience under his belt building/racing offroad rigs that all have nitrogen charged coilovers. He has raced Ultra4 for many years. 4500 class and I believe he took 2nd this year at King of The Hammers.

This is John at 1:15 in the 4580 buggy. He knows his way around suspension.

Sometimes its cheaper to do things ONCE and correctly.

I don't blame them, they probably read it and they all went "what a fuckin' Pussy, this guy can't even change his own shocks or a Window regulator"

It's like an Amish Community, you have been "Shunned". :rofl9:

I'm just messing with you brother. Did you actually try your local Ford dealer for a quote?

On the other hand, when i needed to change my Window regulator's on my 2005 Colorado, i just went for the Youtube Video and there just happened to be one for my specific Truck.

Your friend probably has a good idea, and maybe he's not a Pussy.

What OG said...pay the man that has the experience and skills to do the work correctly.

You said you saved a bunch of money in the truck swap thread, use some of that savings to do your suspension right, the first time.
