We have rough plans for our new house in Arizona, looking for someone to draw up the plans. Can I use a local architect or do I need to hire one licensed in AZ?

Check with the building department where you’re going to build.
Size of the project often dictates if it needs state licensure, houses often do.
Many architects & firms are licensed across multiple states, so finding one here, that’s licensed there, shouldn’t be too difficult.

Hmmm. I wonder what massivedesign stands for.. lol. Not a licensed architect but been designing houses and commercial buildings for over 2 decades.
You need to check with the permitting authority in your are on what they require.
