I have 2 old, beat-up .22 firearms that I want to get repaired. One is a JC Higgins (Hi Standard) Model 29 rifle that tends to jam and fail to extract. The other is a beat-up single-action army imported by FIE, which will fire but not consistently. Unfortunately, my local gunsmith isn't willing to try to fix them because neither are made anymore, so parts are hard to find. These have been in the family for a long while, so they have sentimental value more than anything else. I'm not looking for full restoration, I just want to be able to shoot them. Anyone interested in taking on the project, PM me.

Are you sure they are broke or just need a good cleaning?

I would do them but you are to far away. I am sure that there is someone here closer to you that has the skills.
