Now lets cut through the fluff shall we. This job is physical, we regularly unload a 48ft trailer worth of food a day per dock using hand carts. We rotate, date, and rack said food into the freezers, coolers, and dry storage. Some computer skills are needed to work our tracking system for certian items. The upside is that when we are full staffed most work is completed in 3hrs or less. The rest of the day is free time to bs about guns, whiskey, and investing. The team is small at 7 counting the boss lady spread acrossed 3 docks. A fair number of the other personnel are also gun people so you will be in good company. That said guns are not allowed in the building.

Now for the gravy... The shifts are either 6am-2pm or 7am-3pm all are monday-friday! You will build 2weeeks PTO in the 1st year, 3 weeks the second year... I forget the scale after that but you max out at 6 weeks a year after 12yrs. Now you are allowed to have two years worth of hours on the books. So at the end of your second year you could max out your pto at 5weeks if you didn't use any. I'm currently in year 11 and have almost 390hrs on the books. Extra bonus, you can cash out your pto! Down side is the pto is also your sick leave, its all one pool. Bereavement leave is a seperate pool of leave. You also get one birthday day a year at 8hrs. Medical, dental, vision, and 401k with the trc matching up to 10%. We also get paid for 12 holidays a year but we only get thanksgiving, christmas day, and new years day off currently. This is subject to change but so far its holding because the food trucks don't run for now on those days.

Your uniforms are provided and they will wash them for you but I'd recommend doing it at home. You're on your own for the non slip shoes.

Thank you! I want people to understand what they are getting themselves into.

FYI the entire hiring process can take up to a month. You will be finger printed and they run 3 back ground checks.

Seems pretty intense for $20/hour, or did you link to the wrong listing?

Nope thats the correct one. Two out of the three docks handle food and booze. The third dock handles everything else that comes into the casino including sensitive items hence the back ground checks (FBI/WA State/tribal gaming). Most rookies take 6 months before we train them there. That dock is currently fully manned so odds are you would end up on a food dock. Again you'll find yourself with about 4-5hours a day of down time. But there have been days where people get sick ect and it becomes one person per dock. Those are days you will work the full 8hrs. Having done this I can break down and rack a cold pallet of food in 30-40 mintues depending on how sysco builds them.

Also vaccination is not mandatory, and we are exempt from the cares tax.

It's great to have a detailed perspective like that from someone who already works there. thumbsup
