Not posted at the moment, but there are a lot of security guard 2 openings on the island. Pay range 43. Not a wannabe cop type security guard but more of a wannabe corrections security guard. It really is an easy job. Occasionally you'll have to break up a fight or deal with an angry or aggressive resident. There hasn't been an assault on a staff member in years though. What is posted right now are Residential Rehabilitation Counselors. They work the living units (and sometimes as security, just like the guard work as RRCs), at the SCTFs it's a similar job but also assist the residents in transitioning back to the community by guiding and coaching. Escorting them to jobs, medical appointments, treatment, the grocery store, the library, etcetera.
