Hi guys,

One project I've always wanted to do was to complete an 80% receiver, which I couldn't legally do in my previous state. Now that I actually can, is there anyone around Eastside that has the tools and prior experience completing one of these? It doesn't look too complicated, but I'd appreciate the help.

All you really need are files/sandpaper, a drill, and some time. A dremel can speeds things up but for the first one I highly recommend sticking with handtools. Harbor Freight should have everything you're looking for to include a Soldering/Woodburning kit for stippling.

I used a mill, but even with hand tools the P80 Glocks are super easy to do. Much easier than the AR15 kits, although those aren't very hard either.

All of the above and the fact that the work MUST be completed by the end user (you). You cannot LEGALLY have anyone help you. The p80 kits come with the two drill bits and an end mill to complete it. :thumbsup2:

There are a bunch of videos on YouTube showing tips and tricks. The complete process is on the GlockStore’s website also.

Get to Utube befor the videos disappear. Irakvetran8888 just posted a recent video and Scootch has his up. It looks easy if you take time......I am tempted just because it would be a ghost but I so dislike tupparware.

Oh wow, people actually responded. Thanks for the offers of help and info, guys. I did download a few YouTube vids for reference before their purge and I'm going to go the file/hand drill option. It'll be a fun project.

I have a drill press, but i believe theres a law saying the owner of the not-yet-a-gun must complete it theirself. If youre interested let me know!

You absolutely don't need a drill press. I used a harbor freight wireless drill, a cheap Dremel, some files, and some sandpaper. ImageImage
