I'm not much for either sales or bragging, and I haven't needed a resumé for over 9 years. I have 2 specific companies in mind to target, but they're in very different industries.

Dont forget to add a cover letter. If possible, ask your former manager to write a letter of recommendation

I had Work Source do mine. They total fooked it up, had my employment dates all wrong and inserted blatant lies regarding certifications in my field. I had to completely redo it at home. Ensure you go over any resume' you have some one else do for you.

or put it into monster.com or indeed.com and see how it prints out. Dice, the ladders, stackoverflow, etc.

Do you really want to work for a manager who hires based on resumes? Don't overthink, it is just a piece of paper. You know about the company, and the hiring manager, right? (if you don't know these, don't worry about your resume till you do.) Get a f2f with them and let them know you want to join the team, *listen* to what they say and do what comes naturally. Don't leave without asking for an interview.
