Need to get a key fob and have it programmed for the wife. Anyone here a locksmith or have one you like?

Look on Ebay, bought a friend a pair of aftermarket replacement fobs for $8.
They come with instructions on how to program, pretty easy. Involves pressing the remote while doing a sequence with the key and door locks or some shit.
And there are Youtube videos.

My kid did it in 3 minutes.

When you program the new ones, it will make the old one(s) inoperable, but you can reprogram them again if you want.

Don't pay a stealer to do it.
Probably charge you $100 each.

This.

Did my brothers expedition in about 3min. That’s with having to try the sequence a few times to get it right. All fobs to be progeammed just need to be present on the Fords.

Ya, need to program all of them at the same time.
If it has bad buttons, pitch it. It will drive you nuts.
They sell button replacement kits, but it's not worth messing around with, cost about the same as the fob.

For many that is true, just be aware some that sort of thing does not work on all cars. Some require TWO FOBS already programmed to the car to be able to activate the feature. Canadian cars have the owner programming disabled per Canadian law (ALLLLLOOOTTT of Canadian cars in the Puget sound market)

I directed a friend of mine to a link on Ebay for her 2004 Mazda Tribute.
She bought two fobs for $8 shipped free, and programmed them herself in a few minutes without having a kid help her.
And she is technologically challenged.

Can't be that hard.

I replaced the ones for my truck 3-4 years ago but they cost $25 back then.
