Hadn’t seen a thread on this. You guys have any thoughts? Gimmick, or worth picking up before July?

$600-$650 ~

I now know 4 people that own them. They are gaining a lot of traction in the competition world for open class 3-gun. The aftermarket parts are quickly evolving. Multiple companies are already making buffer kits, high cap magazines, muzzle brakes, etc. I will pick one up soon enough. They can be found for sub 600$. I know Brads Guns in Lake Tapps has gotten multiple in. Just buy it and enjoy! If your a Facebook user, check out the page dedicated to them. They are impressive so far.

For what it’s worth, I shot one at SHOT Show and liked it.

And, buying this won’t change come July, right?

He did so with a near constant patter of harassment from about 10 feet away and still punished the birds. :thumbsup2:

I found this, which is the “definition” of Semi Automatic Assault Weapon as put forth in the actual I1639 law.

Semiautomatic assault rifle is defined in the measure as follows:[10]

Any rifle which utilizes a portion of the energy of a firing cartridge to extract the fired cartridge case and chamber the next round, and which requires a separate pull of the trigger to fire each cartridge. "Semiautomatic assault rifle" does not include antique firearms, any firearm that has been made permanently inoperable, or any firearm that is manually operated by bolt, pump, lever, or slide action.[4

Soooooo.... that makes this shotgun one of those. Correct? Or am I just being pessimistic? Also, is anyone familiar with mag limits on shotguns? My brother seems to think the 6+1 currently available with tube magazines, is the max allowed.

Incorrect.

This is a shotgun, which is not a rifle.

Sweet. I was hoping for that, but wasn’t sure the actual difference carried over to this magical lala land we call Washington State. Thanks!

...mag restrictions on shotguns? Only for hunting as far as I know. Sky's the limit otherwise but a "properly functioning" mag is the only limit. So far above a 20rd drum seems to have feed problems.

Looks interesting but the aftermarket mags seem to jam quite a bit.
