Taught 10 women in a women-only Home Defense Course. Well, ok, maybe it was a few days ago--I'm just now digging out photos.

These were all graduates of our Basic Protection course
Taught flash sight picture, point shooting, rapid fire, shooting around cover/concealment, and more.

It is really an honor to teach these ladies. ~20-30% have never shot a pistol before coming to us, and ~10% of them are very comfortable shooting but never had the right training. A handful were even in the military. They are so excited to learn new skills and take ownership of their own safety. Nearly every one has purchased at least one firearm since starting with us. Some have purchased five.

Best comment of the day? "I told my husband that I'm now better than he is. He needs to contact you for some private training and catch up!" This from a woman who hadn't ever shot a firearm before last year, came to our Basic Protection Class and a number of our monthly Ladies Day at the Range events, got new shooting glasses, and has now purchased three of her own firearms.

That's progress.

And a special shout-out to Range God Steve (madpick) who has been hugely instrumental as an RSO and critic as we've developed these classes.

Gents, if you’d like to have the ladies in your life get REAL excited about your hobby, send them to us!

Your after action reports are legendary.
Remember that third bullet on slide 83? Yeah, you fucked that up. Here, let me cite you the RCWs and 18 other sources.
Lol. But you know what? I'm far, far better off for it, so thank you!

I made a front sight.
I bought a Ruger Security Six a little over a week ago, the prior owner didn't disclose that it shot a foot high at ten yards! The front sight was not the original, nor was it even a ruger sight after inspection. He probably sold it because you cant even find a front sight for these anymore(I searched the internet for a week straight).
I measured my buddy's security six to get the details and spent a few hours with a file and a piece of .125 steel, worked it down to just right, sand blasted and drilled it, blued and installed. I stuck on a piece of orange vinyl tape and called it good.

The sight before bluing on top, what was in it on bottom.
