It's just Seattle, it's everywhere.
My next door neighbor is a cop and their instructions are not to respond to smaller crime, such as home break ins car break in, vandalism, they will only respond to serious car accidents and higher crimes such as rape, murder.
Noticed too that people drive like asswipes, going 50 or so on a 35.

I caught myself doing 90 on 405 south, Sunday morning. There were no other cars by which to judge my speed. I slowed down and kept a better watch on my speed.

I hate to be THAT guy, but I have to say that I actually read that the recent crime rates in Seattle had dropped, especially during corona-time.
In fact there has been a drop over the last several decades, and this recent corona-time has further squelched it.
I aint saying Seattle is a great place, that it is making all the right moves, but data is data.
Who cares. If you don't want people camping on the sidewalk, and you don't like a gun control social stance, well sure I get that.
But lets try to be straightforward with our facts, especially amongst ourselves.
