Hey now! I’m new to owning a handgun of my own and I recently purchased a Hellcat. I went to the range today to bust it’s cherry and I noticed some mag wobble. I didn’t experience any performance issues, it was more annoying than anything. If anyone has any feedback I’d appreciate it. Planning on calling Springfield tomorrow like a rookie.

Shoot it some more. Shoot it one-handed. Shoot it with your weak hand. Shoot it limp wristed. If it functions every time, don’t worry about mag wobble

This sounds like good advice. :thumbsup2:

Skeeter20i, are you able to post a video of what you're seeing? I've never known "mag wobble" to be a problem in anything other than an AK-pattern rifle, so I suspect your pistol is just fine, but it would be interesting to see it.

I have a couple of handguns where the mag feels loose. Never a problem. Never really messed with it. If the fix works, might as well!

Every semi-auto I own has mags that wobble a bit.
Sig P365 & 320's, 1911, Walther PPQ, the list goes on.
If it is moving so much that fingers are being pinched, it's a design flaw.
But they all move a millimeter or two.

If it runs with no issues, I wouldn't worry about it. I do see how that would be a bit annoying though.
