Well, the Auzzies think the Sig P320 X Carry Pro tops Browning's glory, "announcing the selections and saying that “this is a bold step into modern weaponry to quickly improve Australia’s defence preparedness.” https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/202 ... g-hipower/They've also grabbed onto the MCX in .300BO

Had a P320, I would trust my life to my Hi-Point over it.

Well the issue I see is nobody is mass producing the High Power so its kinda a one sided argument, one of the dumbest things I ever did was let my High Power go.
Now with that said I have a Kahr MK9 that is a boring single stack “pocket gun” BUT I love shooting it and IMO is a work of art as far as the lines on it and the way it feels in my hand.
Sorry Jimmy but this is a moot point….

I didn't really have a point other than to point out that they say they've switched in the name of modernization. As for mass production of hi-powers... didn't FN recently take up the torch

Springfields frames for the High Power are made in Turkey by Tisas and Tisas is putting their own high power out. And FN is reintroducing their own improved High Power that comes with a 17rnd mag as standard capacity. All these introductions are High power in name only and few parts will interchange with originals. That said I would rather have the FN made one since their frames would be made in Belgium and I heard the Springfields are having issues.

The Browning is a great gun, I like mine a lot but I have a handful of daily carry guns and the HP isn't on that list. I can't believe that it's still in service in any modern military at this point.
It's kinda like how the old pickup in my avatar isn't my daily driver. I love it, it's really cool, but when I'm just driving to work, I take my newer one.
