Fondled a few CZ75’s since I’m considering getting one and also molested a CZ Scorpion as I’m considering getting one over building an AR pistol. Buy the Scorpion, you won't be sorry. This! I think a Scorpion is next on my list as well. Also, get a CZ75, or two. CZs are a sickness, and the only cure is more CZ.

Ordered a Ruger Precision Rifle in 6CM for my oldest son's 18th BDay in September. Price from Grabagun is too good to wait ($866.99 shipped).
Now I have four builds I'm actively working on. This is getting expensive.

Mounted a scope and stock on my buddy's DPMS LR308 Gen2. The Ruger precision stock was a little finicky to mount but once I got it dialed in it snugged up nicely. Scope went on easily as per usual. Only thing is the gas block. See anything wrong with it in the picture? (aside from it being a gay railed block)

Mounted an EGW 20 MOA one piece scope base to my K700 with consultation from a friend.

usrifle wrote: HG and GB interference issue?....and the scope is too high. Gotta be high on an AR, the buffer tube forces a high head position. Too low and you can't get a comfortable scope picture. Hard to tell from the pic but it's heavily canted to the right. Thought about pulling it off to check the gas alignment but I don't want to mess with his new rifle too much until we see if it's functioning.

In need of some good rifle straps, rather than the garbage I was using before (barely better than Safeway plastic bags tied together like bedsheet ropes ) I picked up 3 new Magpul quick adjust slings and installed them. MS1 and MS3 versions. Very happy with these.

Signed up for some additional pistol training courses in Central Tejas: Defensive small gun (will take the class with my j-frame, draw from pocket carry/combat accuracy/reloads, etc) Advanced Training course (shooting while moving / moving targets)
Have done a fair amount of shooting on moving targets before at FAS, both the overtake and ambush methods. Rusty though and could definitely use a refresher and gain new perspectives.
Picked up an Apex Evolution IV hammer and Competition Firing Pin as well as a Miculek spring kit (main spring and trigger return spring) for use in my 627 competition revolver. Originally I just had gunsmith bob the factory MIM hammer down for DA only. Have been having some reliability issues / light strikes at an unacceptable level for competition so needing to get that fixed. The Apex hammer and competition firing pin allow for a reduced DA trigger pull with Federal primers which is all I use in that particular gun.

Inventoried my magazines. Let's just say I have quite a few standard capacity freedom dispensers. David Hogg would probably have heart palpatations if he were here.

Personal weapons are what raised mankind out of the mud, and the rifle is the queen of personal weapons. The possession of a good rifle, as well as the skill to use it well, truly makes a man the monarch of all he surveys. It realizes the ancient dream of the Jovian thunderbolt, and as such it is the embodiment of personal power. For this reason it exercises a curious influence over the minds of most men, and in its best examples it constitutes an object of affection unmatched by any other inanimate object.

I ordered a full plate carrier setup from ar500 armor back in January. It finally showed up out of the blue today. Spent some time trying to figure out how to mount the things, but got it all put together.
