You should please ask him about it. I'd like to come watch, maybe he'd let me pull the trigger?

I would not even call that a "gun". Does not look like fun, way to serious. Just like when customers asked me if the gun will shoot sub-moa. Yes the gun will, what about you?

Yes that is a gun! A very FUN one to shoot at that. We shoot 10 shot groups with them at both 100 and 200 yards.

There are two main guys making the railgun platform. One is just outside of Portland and the other is in the Auburn/Kent area. They cost around $3K to $4K minus action, barrel, trigger and scope.
The common caliber is the 6PPC. Basically a modified 220 Russian.

If anyone is interested in benchrest shooting we shoot matches at Tacoma Rifle and Revolver on the 1st weekend on the month starting in April and ending in Sept. Just come down and see what its like. If you like extreme accuracy this is for you.

Lots more to it then load development and pulling the trigger.

But its not for everyone.

Isn't it also reading the wind? Doesn't that become a very large part of it?

Meh, it's just the next level.

If you're a black powder shooter, you could say "where's the fun in that" to the guy with the smokeless powder rifle.

The guy with the iron sights could say "where's the fun in that" to the guy with the scope.

The guy with the scope could say "where's the fun in that" to the guy with the scope, bipod and rear monopod.

And the guy with all of that could say "where's the fun in that" to the guy with the rail gun.

*shrug* As long as you're competing within your category, and YOU find it fun, it's all good. :thumbsup2:
