Who got a UPIN and did it make a difference?

I get a "delay" on every single transaction. I always get the call hours or days later to proceed but good grief! I think this goes back about 5 years or so now...
Getting ridiculous and its a pain in the ass for a private sale. Has anybody who has gone and got a UPIN found that it alleviates this issue? |

I usually get a Delay, and they never call back.

SSN doesn't make a difference in my experience.

I’ve gotten 1 proceed out of 19 checks. Also have quite a few nfa items sitting in awaiting fbi background check. I’m not a us citizen which is probably why though. AFAIK I was one of the last people to get a UPIN.
I didn't read that posted link but I don't even think you can even get a UPIN any more. Yes, delay's all the time. With the UPIN it's an extra 30 seconds to one minute. Like every other bs story about the smooth running government agencies we have....I get delayed70% of the time
I was told UPIN was for people that get denied through no fault of their own and was not for delayed people. I was delayed every time I tried to purchase,applied for a UPIN and about 3 months later it showed up. Haven't had a delay since. This was done about 4-5 yrs ago though,I did read it's a lot harder to get a UPIN now.
