I have owned G34/G35 as well as multiple other Glock form factors. Every pistol I own has a red dot except one (because it is on order and hasn't arrived yet but should be here in a week).
Once you have practiced with a red dot sight, you will probably never go back. I guess each person has their own opinion, but I will NEVER go back to iron sights unless an employer mandates it.
If you were in my area I would let you shoot mine.
For milling, MKP or JaegerWerks both do great work. Factory MOS models are also good. ZEV is probably the most respected. I have owned all three, and currently own ZEV and JW slides. Below is a picture of a few of the guns I shoot regularly.
I shoot with Vortex Venom, Trijicon RMR and Holosun optics. Feel free to send me any questions if you want.
