How does it work? OK in bright sun? (I have an Aimpoint PRO that I like as a reference)

Can it be mounted lower? Their site says so, but.....

TIA

Closeups of the sights rather than your brother would have been excellent. :wagwoot:

The "features and tech" say low mount and 1/3 cowitness, so I'd say yes. It is for all intents and purposes the Sig Romeo 5 (rumor has it the sig is just re branded) which has both. I have the low mounted Romeo 5 on my Scorpion Evo, and it works great in bright sunlight (we actually get that here here, lol) and in my blacked out grave shift sleeping room. Very visible in burn your retina sunshine, and doesn't burn your retina in the darkest of night. PSA has the Sig for 119 shipped, heck of a deal.

Most of my guns have solar Holosun optics on them and the 65MOA ring. That's my preference for fast target acquisition and SHTF/TEOTWAWKI, but I can get really close to the 252yd gong on my range standing with the Scorpion and the Romeo 5...REALLY close. Scare the shit out of ya, close. Lol.

I have a Holosun HS403B mounted on an AR9. I like it quite a bit. I'm normally an Aimpoint PRO fan, but figured I'd give one a try. I also wanted something much smaller than a PRO.

The only thing I don't like is the bikini lens covers. If it had flip open lens covers, it would be perfect.

Without running out to the safe and checking the model number, I think that’s the sight I have mounted on my B&T (yeah, yeah, fancy pants gun with a cheapo red dot). It’s mounted low and flush with the rail.

I’m a big fan of Holosun as they make quality stuff at a great price. I also have one of their circle dot sights on my Banshee and am really happy with it.

They get super bright. While I haven’t used them outside much, I would bet they’d do fine in the sun.

I currently have 7 holosun red dots on my ARs/AKs, and scorpion evo. I have have been very happy, and will continue to buy them as I have ran them enough to believe I can rely upon them to due their intended job. On my AKs I run them on ultimak and got them extremely hot with not a single issue over the last 5 years. I shoot my AK'S more than any rifle I own and quite often.
