I wanted this thread to stand on it's own.

It'll have to be something pretty special for me to want to go through the hassle.

At my age, I've decided to sell off most everything I have no time to play with or maintain. Will make the out of state move much easier for me. Figure I'll be out of here within the next couple years, if not sooner. And for what it's worth, it's not just the gun laws, it's the ever increasing taxes, shitty weather and rising number of piece of shyte transients that create all the trouble I moved to the country to avoid.

Glad to be in OK now.

No, not on July 1st. I would like to never have to purchase another semi auto rifle, or pistol (as I understand it, the hippa waiver is triggered by a pistol purchase as well as a semi-auto rifle purchase).

But that's easy for me say now, we will see what the future holds.

No.

The one single thing that made that decision for me was waiving my HIPPA rights to the State. Do i have anything to hide? No, but the abuse of that information by the State down the road for any number of reasons they will come up with later will prevent me from buying anymore Semi Auto Pistols or Rifles until (If) the Law is changed.

Can you imagine the outrage if that was required to buy a Car? The Libs would be screaming at the Sky.

A yes or no poll with 5 possible options? And only 3 of those are actually of the "yes" or "no" variety?

Did you even read the thread title? :rofl9:

So you never bought a pistol from a dealer? It was a one time thing, but you waived it for the county/city to check your mental health records for disqualifying information since 1996.

What about a straight maybe? Just like today, if something jumps out at me I might. If nothing jumps up at me, then I won't. Right now there is nothing I really want.

I would find it very hard to believe that by signing the new form with this revised clause, you would entirely null and void your HIPPA rights. The HIPPA rights were created for our protection. Seems like a law suit waiting to be won by the first person with legitimate 2A rights that gets their HIPPA rights violated by the state under the pretense of this clause. What a can of worms.

I'm willing to test it.
