I voted yes, but I didn't say when or where I'll be purchasing it. I may move to oregon, become a state ID carrying resident, for the required time and finish up my collection there. I only missed out on two guns I had been wanting: another AK SBR candidate, and something in .410 that would be fun and unusual. Considering the 10+ guns I bought since Dec, I have enough projects and fun to keep me busy for a while.

I was talking to my mom vauguely about her and my dads Christmas present just a few hours ago. First say next week when my dad can be left alone and is not loopy from the pain meds from his partial knee replacement I am going to get her shooting my AR. If she likes it and I think she will then they will be getting one for home protection for Christmas. As for the HIPAA shit my information is with federal agencies which most likely will tell Washington to pound sand so I really do not have a concern in that reguard. Yes I have a reciever set aside too but it is a hybred aluminum/ polly and I just think that aluminum is stronger. As for the class thanks to a previous thread that was done in short order.......just have to print out a copy for my LGS that I plan to get the aluminum reciever from.

Don’t buy an AR. Instead, buy a lower (stripped or completed) and upper separately and then put them together.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Actually don’t buy a lower, buy an 80% receiver with cash, complete it, build your rifle, stamp a middle finger on it for a “serial #” and go play. Build as many Ghost guns as you can. We should have as many unregistered guns in this state as there are cockroaches. The other side should not feel safe or secure.

You should check out the Polish Lynx pistol at Atlantic.. amazing with a side folder brace added

Apparently there's a rule that says the FFL needs to follow the laws of the buyer's state. So . . . who knows how that will pan out, I'm not sure.
But if that's your scenario, then it doesn't matter if it's a private purchase or you just buy from an out-of-state FFL, right? https://www.atf.gov/firearms/qa/may-licensee-sell-firearm-nonlicensee-who-resident-another-stateQuote: ...a licensee may sell a rifle or shotgun to a person who is not a resident of the State where the licensee’s business premises is located in an over–the–counter transaction, provided the transaction complies with State law in the State where the licensee is located and in the State where the purchaser resides. Hey MadPi....there's a bit more sauce to that. https://app.leg.wa.gov/RCW/default.aspx?cite=9.41.122Quote: Residents of Washington may purchase rifles and shotguns in a state other than Washington: PROVIDED, That such residents conform to the applicable provisions of the federal Gun Control Act of 1968, Title IV, Pub. L. 90-351 as administered by the United States secretary of the treasury: AND PROVIDED FURTHER, That such residents are eligible to purchase or possess such weapons in Washington and in the state in which such purchase is made: AND PROVIDED FURTHER, That when any part of the transaction takes place in Washington , including, but not limited to, internet sales, such residents are subject to the procedures and background checks required by this chapter.

Does that mean you can pop on over to Idaho, buy an evil black rifle and not need to go through all the B.S?

Perhaps a person with a more shrewd understanding of law will chime in. Reading all of that multiple times says to me that as long as a WA resident doesn't initiate the purchase while in WA, then they can go to ID and walk in to a gun show or dealer's location, and purchase a long-gun of any type that is not a NFA item and take it home. Don't forget to pay Use Tax on it after you get home and use it.
