I'm just over two weeks on my most recent purchase (Renton) through Pantel.
Wonder if I should give them a call or wait.
I had a couple transfers last month and both came through in less than a week.

Worst case scenario . Life long gun owner. Legal to own and buy. I have a cwl. I purchased some guns earlier in the month. Waited 10 days and was told I had a “hold”. This means I wait 30 or less for them to do further research. But in reality after 30 days the application expires. So they if they lift the hold on day 30 you pay the ffl to redo the application. Maybe they put a hold on you, this could really go on forever if someone at south sound 911 wanted to do that. In my case on day 25 it came back DENIED!! Turns out as a juvenile at age 12 I had a malicious mischief 2nd degree for vandalism. Stupid kid stuff.this is a felony. I got what is called differed prosecution which means I do community service, pay fines all charges dropped, as I did. When you turn 23 your juvenile record goes away. But…..somehow south sound caught wind of this. It’s not on state patrol records so it doesn’t exists. The FBI says it doesn’t exist. So…. I give the court documents to southsound saying the charges where vacated in 1990. But they tell me this does not remove it from my record. So WTF? So right now I have a gun dealer with a pile of my money and can’t get my guns which I’m legally allowed to own. Why do we let a private business like south sound 911 approve our gun rights, it’s maddens. It’s the sheriffs job. So my best guess is I pay an attorney 4-5,000$ to vacate a felony charge that has been vacated. The point to my story is be ware if you caused havack as Juvi one day when you are 50 you’ll find out you’ve been a convicted felon your whole life. All the time you worked for the government left the country and had firearms. I did the time and the crime but the state has not done there job. It’s getting bad and I think I’m going to Idaho or Arizona. These are American rights not privileges.

Welcome to WaGuns, Matt!
Yeah, I don't know what to tell you . . . you're probably right, a lawyer would be the next step.

I’m sorry that happened to you. Here’s what I suggest, contact the jurisdiction where the crime occurred and have them research your case. Most likely they didn’t do something that needs to be done. Get that agency to also confirm with WSP that is not in their records. That should clear it up. If not, the agency may need you to go to the court where the crime occurred and do some paperwork to get I cleared up. SS911 is a government owned corporation. There never should have been a conviction or a guilty plea if it was a deferred prosecution. Either they're wrong about what happened in the criminal case, the deferred prosecution was extremely unusual (at least by modern standards), or SS911 is wrong. I'm leaning towards the third option.

It would not be the first time that SS911 misinterpreted someone's record with violations that occurred when they were a minor. I have seen it happen and seen it get corrected by that agency. I also know that sometimes people in other agencies also make mistakes, backgrounding gets conflated, and it takes caring soul to help people get their backgrounding cleared up....meaning, someone didn't push some paper.
