I had a fairly quick turn-around, considering the Thanksgiving holiday.

Who's your LE agency? That's what determines how long it takes.

Vendor: Sportsman's Warehouse, Puyallup

LEO: Pierce County Sheriff (South Sound 911)

Original 4473 signed 10/13/2020, expired.

Second 4473 signed 11/19/2020, still waiting...

I have NEVER had any issues with a quick return (very unique last name, especially on the West Coast).
Vendor is blaming this on COVID, but I'm suspicious of that as I'm sure many, many other members have had routine wait times.

Considering this a lesson learned to never shop at an FFL who does NOT release after 10 days.

Update:

I was in Tacoma for a Dr. appointment, so I stopped by South Sound 911 to check on the status of my second background check.
The nice lady looked it up and said it was sent back approved in November.

I called the vendor asking about the status. It took them 10 minutes to find it!

So, off I go to pick it up and still have to wait an hour for my number to be called.
After waiting another few minutes for them to find the handgun in the back room, we begin the release process. I glance at the background check sheet and am shocked at what I see.

It was approved 11/25/2020! TWO WEEKS AGO!!! :blackcloud1:

Never got the promised call that I was approved. :frust:

Never gracing that store ever again. :trainwreck:

You know I got them 100% customer satisfaction ratings.....

It's probably King County. Not sure if my little town, which contracts with King County, actually does the processing, which is why I didn't include it.

Somehow I missed this thread.

Online purchases of two hand guns shipped to Pantel. One October and the other November. Both had about a two week wait. King County Sherriff.

Sound Loan, Everett
Agency: Everett PD
Transfer: Handgun, private party Feb 12.
Pickup: They called Feb 19, ready for pickup.
Monday Feb 15th was a holiday, don't count the next day or weekends so 3 business days, or 7 calendar days.
10 business days would have been March 2nd.

I bought a pistol and an AR in the last couple of weeks. TCSO turnaround was three days on the pistol and four days on the rifle.

Pinto's Guns in Renton.

Purchased from an out of state dealer, (first time I've done that). Gun arrived on Tuesday, February 9th. I got a proceed on Saturday, February 13. I couldn't pick it up until the following Tuesday due to snow.

I live in Seattle, so I assume they processed it.
