All for just a serial #?

I get that Henry is a US company, I'd like to support them but dang everything they make is a clone of someone else's gun and all they manage to do it make them look butt ugly!

This :thumbsup2:

I have the .22 Lever and that action is Butter Smooth and the Rifle is accurate. I would Like to get a Centerfire version someday, they are very well made and the fact they are Made in the USA with excellent Customer support and service is icing on the Cake.

Cake? Hmmmm....reminds me of someone. :peep:

Huh,

When I first posted the auction said 5 days 9 hrs left till it ends...

Now it says 4 days 9 hrs.

Something may be hinky with the bid history as well...no interest since then either.

Someone bid so we can see if the site is broke. :ROFLMAO:

The brass and octagon barrel combo is pretty heavy, so its nice and steady.
I got a good deal on them from a local shops consignment counter. Each one before Xmas time!

I always wanted the brass just, well just cuz! Then I had them engraved! :wink05:

I have a lot of lever guns and the only other levers I have that are as smooth as the Henrys are the Brownings.

I juts wish Henry would make an O/U 12g.

These kinds of politically branded items, like the Beto AR's, strike me like those faded campaign bumperstickers from elections past which adorn the bumpers of Subarus and Priuses (Prious-i?)

Flash in the pan and moot almost upon purchase.

Now that 45 (Trump) .45 that came out a while ago.... that probably has some staying power. (Only because of the significance of the Office)

It very well may be, I've not tried one. I can't bring myself to even try but they'd be hard pressed to beat Miroku quality.

As I said originally, I get that they are US made but I personally think they are so ugly I can't even bring myself to try one. I've never needed CS on any of my other levers so that is a moot point to anyone that doesn't get a lemon (which happens from any company). All my levers Winchester (old and new), Savage, Marlin (JM marked and not) none of them have needed to be returned to the factory. I understand Winchester had their low years and so did Marlin more recently but of my limited selection of 13 lever rifles I haven't had an issue yet from any company.

I have seen reviews where guys claim to have contacted the company and gotten free parts and quick turn around.

I think the brass looks the worst but I understand that is entirely subjective. My favorite lever gun is the 1895 Winchester, a gun that many people think is very ugly.

About the only think they make that I don't think is hideous (in looks only, I've never even held one so have a comment on quality) is their "original" 1860 Henry. But since I already have the "improved" 1873 Winchester version I haven't broken down to buy the Henry yet. I did email them hoping they'd bring out a .22 version of the 1873 but I suspect that is a pipe dream since I never heard back.
