I like cloned rifles. I'm well past the "combat age" and hopefully, as a carpenter, I shall never have to experience combat. BUT, I like cloned or authentic military guns.

So, then, The military had (finally) begun an attempt to upgrade military rifles. Certain branches adopting the, or getting some HK416's was a step. Now USASOC apparently has taken up some of the modern concepts for the old M4, like free-floating and slimmer rails, mid-length and opened up gas systems, etc and etc.

COLT receivers, and BCG's, DD barrels (designed to handle M855 A1 ammo that you can get here on WaGuns for $2/rnd!) and DD gas bocks, mid-length gas, Geissele hand guards and CH's and Surefire flash hiders (Available both pinned/welded or not). Near-clone models available; different barrel lengths, "mil-spec" (Geissele branded? not COLT) receivers etc.

Look nice? Is nice.

Looks like they kept the ass-backwards gov't barrel profile instead of going with something more like the Faxon Gunner or BCM ELW profile
