Using a forend mounted front sight you should be able to either screw the sight post down or grind off the top of the post enough to get the necessary change to negate the .05" difference between the receiver and forend. It's 1/20 of an inch, so screw the post down 3/64" and you'll be damn close to the correct elevation for "same plane" iron sights
