I took mine to the range yesterday, after a fresh clean and lube. (For the gun.)
I did some "accuracy testing" at about 50 feet, which was as far as I could get at the range I was using. It gave a pretty good scattering, maybe a group the size of my hand. I'm not going to put TOO much faith in that, as I was on a pretty sub-par rest, but it didn't feel as accurate as I would have expected a gun like that to be. Maybe I'll do more serious testing later.
As for my feeding issues, I put a total of maybe 150 rounds through it. I had a failure to feed on maybe the 5th round, then it got better, and I even had 4-5 mags without failures. But still, occasional failures to feed, though it was better yesterday than it has been.
I have one USA-made "V1" mag, which I used for most of it. I have two USA-made pre-V1 mags, and two German mags. The V1 seems to work better than the others, but none of them were failure-free.
Sigh. Maybe it's slowly getting better? Maybe.

so a few other people i spoke to with this gun has had zero accuracy issues. i think this is a qc issue and hopefully lwrc returns either my phone call or emails....because at this point, their customer service isn't looking too good. on the other hand, i contacted silencerco about the octane 45k and they sent me an rma right away lol. it's possible after garand thumb put his video out, lwrci got a shitload of calls.
i will say though, i did ask the lwrci owner fb group about accuracy issues a couple days before garand thumb came out with his video lol. at least i knew it was inaccurate before a youtuber pointed it out for others.

I finally got tired of my SMG-45 feeding issues and emailed LWRC. I got a response the next day:
"Sorry for the inconvenience. Please send me the following information. I will have FedEx email a pre-paid shipping label for the return. We will resolve the issue."
I just dropped it off with FedEx today. Let the wait begin!

So, I spoke with the LWRC rep today about when TF I’ll get my gun back and when he talked about the fix, I’m unsure if the barrel moves anymore... Either way, he said they’re starting to ship out guns towards the end of this week. LOL. I sent them my gun back in Aug 2020. wtf lmao Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Oh damn, I didn’t realize that you had sent yours back. That’s a long time to wait!
Let us know when you get it, and what they changed if you’re able to tell.

Let us know when you get it, and what they changed if you’re able to tell. Oh yeah, I plan on inspecting the changes they made. When they made changes to the barrel, the service tech told me it messed up the trigger while testing and firing. So they made changes to the trigger as well. I’ll do a full range report, test, and inspection after I get it back. I’m curious if your gun will have similar modifications because although yours is fairly accurate, there’s a fundamental design flaw. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I shipped my SMG-45 back to LWRC on 4/12/21; I received it today, 6/29/21. Here's my description of the problem (they chopped off some niceties at the beginning), and the changes that they made: Yup . . . new barrel, front bushing plate, mag catch, feed ramp, yoke, and breech block. Up next, range trip!
